JASMINE

Update From October 2009

Hi Helen,

Just had to drop another line to give you and Brian a HUGE thank you for the work done with Jasmine to this point. I'm helping Andre guide the pheasant youth hunt in a couple of weeks, so I took her to a game farm to get on a few pheasants (and to stay fresh in the bird manners). We ended up with 8 birds (and 10 finds... I missed 2 chuckar... he he he). Her bird manners were absolutely awesome! She stuck her points hard, and wouldn't budge until the bird was gone and I released her, or the bird was down and I released her. She had 2 stop to flush moments, and held them as well. One was on a pheasant that was over the hill from me. She went over, and I saw the pheasant fly away. I legged it over the hill to stop her, but she was standing there watching where it went!! She even backed Gunner once (he stops and points at random still... nothing was there, but she locked on and waited). I was so proud of her, and couldn't get enough of watching her. She had hustle for the almost 3 hours we hunted and we had a blast. Please pass my thanks onto Brian, and tell him I'm more than happy with her. She's an incredible little bird dog. Oh ya, we bought 6 quail and 2 pheasant. We ended up bagging 4 pheasant, 3 quail and 1 chuckar. Great fun!

Thanks again!
Travis
