Bred by Deborah McNay of Machias Setters in Snohomish WA, Aidan is a delightful and refreshing boy with all the potential to succeed in achieving his AKC Bench Championship title in addition to proving himself as a class hunting companion and field dog.

The Irish Red and White Setter is believed to be the foundation dog behind the red Irish Setter. The breed is very old, yet very young here in the United States with less then 500 dogs registered. Classed as a hard working bird dog, with a big ground covering gait and great endurance, these laid back Setters have all the ingredients to hunt all day long.

We are VERY excited now that the Irish Red and White Setter is scheduled for acceptance into the AKC SPORTING dog group, January 1, 2009! Our plans for Aidan are Big to say the least.

First of all, we are very honored to be sharing Aidan and his journey ahead with Kristyn McCartney of Triumphant Kennels in New Hampshire. Kristyn is the daughter of Linda McCartney-Roy, breeder/owner/handler of famed Brittany, BIS/BISS Triumphant's Absolute, JH, and she is no stranger to the show ring. Kristyn will be handling Aidan's show career, while we will continue to handle all of Aidan's field work. Aidan will be making his show ring debut on the East Coast. We are looking forward to watching these two young contenders become a winning team.
